#Khichan is a village in #Rajasthan state of India. It is located in the Phalodi tehsil of Jodhpur district. The village is known for a large number of demoiselle cranes that visit it every winter. This annual bird migration began with around a hundred cranes in the 1970s, when a local couple started feeding pigeons. Other villagers joined their efforts, and as of 2014, Khichan now hosts over 30,000 demoiselle cranes from as early as August each year to as late as March of the following year. In the 1970s, Ratanlal Maloo, a native of Khichan who had been working in Odisha, returned to the village. Since he did not have a lot of work, his uncle gave him the job of feeding pigeons. Being devout Jains, Ratanlal and his wife accepted the task. Ratanlal would carry grain sacks to the feeding place, and his wife would help him spread the grains on the ground. A number of pigeons, sparrows and squirrels started coming to the place; peacocks also occasionally visited the place. In September, a dozen demoiselle cranes (called kurja in Rajasthani) also joined the other birds. These birds had been seen visiting the farmlands of Kheechan earlier. During September-February, around 100 cranes came to the feeding place. During the next winter, around 150 cranes visited the place. As the cranes grew in numbers, the local dogs started hunting them. So, Ratan Lal asked the village panchayat to allot him some land on the outskirts of the village. Some of the villagers joined him in building a chugga ghar ("bird feeding home"), with a granary and a fence. Several Jain traders supported the initiative by supplying grains. What started initially as a few dozen visiting birds has now become a major migration with thousands of cranes visiting the village year after year, during the period of August to March, and the number is reported to be increasing. This is attributed to the organised and natural feeding done by the village community, twice a day during the birds entire sojourn to the town in the months of August to March, with November to February being the peak season.

The Sachchiya Mata Temple is located in #Osian, near #JodhpurCity in the Indian state of #Rajasthan. A stone inscription, at the #JainTemple of Osian gives a different story about the name of #SachiyaMata. According to this story, a Jain monk, Acharya Shrimad Vijay Ratnaprabhasuriji Maharaj Sahib, visited Osian town to perform the ceremony known as Anjan Salakha, at the newly created temple of God Mahaveer, around 43 CE. The temple of Mahavir had been built by Uhad, who was a minister of King Upaldeo; at that time, Osian was known as Upkeshpur. A temple of Jagat Bhavani (Great Goddess) Chamunda Mata was in the town of Upkeshpur. To receive the grace of the goddess, sacrifices of male buffaloes used to be made in the temple, during the festival of Navratri. When the Jain monk Vijay Ratnaprabhasuriji Maharaj learned about this practice, he felt deep sympathy for the animals sacrificed. Using his influence on the minister and king, he convinced them to ban this practice. A temple in Katraj (Pune) is dedicated to Sachchiya Mata (Osiya Mata), close to the Swetamber Jain temple of Katraj. In her temple, Sachiya Mata-Ji is worshipped with lapsi (an Indian sweet dish), saffron, sandalwood, and incense.

Om Banna (also called Shri Om Banna and #BulletBaba) is a shrine located in Pali district near #Jodhpur, India, devoted to a deity. called #OmBanna. It is located 20 kilometres (12 mi) from #Pali and 53 kilometres (33 mi) away from Jodphur on the Pali-Jodhpur highway, near #ChotilaVillage. The motorcycle is a 350cc Royal Enfield Bullet RNJ 7773. On 2 December 1988, Om Banna (formerly known as Om Singh Rathore; banna, a honorary word used for Rajput youth) was travelling from the town of Bangdi near Sanderao of Pali, to Chotila, when he lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree. He died on the spot whereas the motorcycle fell into a nearby ditch. The morning after the accident, local police took the motorcycle to a nearby police station. The next day it was reported to have mysteriously disappeared from the station and was found back at the site of the incident. Police, once again, took the motorcycle, this time emptying its fuel tank and putting it under lock and key. Despite their efforts, the next morning it again disappeared and was found at the accident site. Legend says that the motorcycle kept returning to the same ditch. It thwarted every attempt by police to keep it at the local police station; the motorcycle always returned to the same spot before dawn. This came to be seen as a miracle by local population, and they began to worship the "Bullet Bike." News of the miracle motorcycle spread to nearby villages, and later they built a temple to worship it. This temple is known as "Bullet Baba's Temple." It is believed that Om Banna's spirit helps distressed travellers. Hundreds of devotees turn up every day to pray for a safe journey.

The Sahasra Bahu temples or #SasbahuTemples, at Nagda, #Rajasthan, are a pair of late 10th-century Hindu temples dedicated to Vishnu. They share a platform, facing the temple tank, and are similar in style, but one is rather larger than the other. The larger one is surrounded by ten subsidiary shrines, the smaller by four; only the bases remain of some of these. The temples have many of the characteristics of slightly later Māru-Gurjara architecture but lack others, especially in the plan and exterior sculpture.

The holy abode of Shree Jagannatha is called as #Neelachala or #Niladri . #LordJagannath, the presiding deity of #NeelachalaDham is not a deity of any particular sect. He is cosmopolitan and embraces spiritual thoughts of all sects signifying the symbol of unity in diversity. Four words in 'Jagannatha' represent four deities. 'Ja' is Jagannath, 'Ga' is Balabhadra, 'Na' is Subhadra and 'Tha' Sudarsan, So #Jagannatha means the union of all deities which is all pervasive and often described as 'Purusottama. SRI BHAVANARAYANA SWAMY TEMPLE The temple is located at a distance of 5 Km from #Kakinada. The story of Sarpavaram is narrated in the Brahma Vyvarta Purana. The great saint Agastya narrated this story to Saunaka and other saints of the Nymisha forest. The great saint Kashyapa married Kadru, to whom thousand serpents were born. Kadru asked here sons to go and embrace to tall of Uchai Srava, the white horse of Lord Indra so that the she would make Vinata the second wife of her husband, her servant maid. But they disobeyed their mother as they did not like to dupe Vinata. Kadru cursed that her sons should die in the fires lit in the serpant sacrifice to be performed by Janamejaya. Of the thousand sons of Kadru, Ananta being pious and noble, went round in search of a suitable place to do penance in honour of Lord Vishnu, by whose mercy he wanted to save himself. He found this place holy, and did his penance here. Pleased at it Lord Vishnu appeared before him and accepted him to serve as a comfortable bed for him. He declared that this holy place would ever since take its name after him as Sarpapura and that He with His spouse Lakshmi would be there duly installed by the sage Narada. Thus the name Sarpapura is derived from the great serpent, Ananta, or Sesha. One day saint Narada went to Brahma, and heard in his discourse that the world was all shrouded in Lord Vishnu’s illusion and from which none could escape. Immediately, Narada asserted that he could. Thereupon Brahma admonished him for his arrogance, and asked him to get away. Narada going round the world on pilgrimage came to Sarpapura and finding a beautiful lake there, wanted to take a bath. But Lo: the moment he got a dip in it he became a damsel.Forgetting the past, and being then a lady, she was looking for a mate. At that time, Nakunda, the young prince of Pithapuram came there for hunting. The lady and the prince fell in love with each other. He married her and took her to Pithapuram. There in course of time she gave birth to sixty sons named Prabhava, Vibhava, etc., (Telugu years names) who grew up and became famous heroes.
